Life Instyle Wrap Up

Life Instyle was the biggest and longest market I've ever been a part of. Filling both levels of the Carlton Exhibition Building, the physical size of this show was astounding. Walking around it for the four days of the event was exhausting but a real treat. The stalls were beautifully designed and the products inside them were even more delightful.

The Exhibition Building is beautiful, a really great space to spend four days. It also hosts the Finders Keepers Market and the Big Design Market.

On the first night of the show we were treated to celebratory champagne. My neighbouring stallholders and I let down our hair and got to know each other.

Coffee and a danish kick off day three.

Notebook from O-Check Design Graphics, Candle Holder from The Design Farm, Clutch/Ipad Case from Spider and Lily, Ceramic bowls from Form & Fable.
One of the best parts of Life Instyle is at the end of the last day when you can run around like a mad person and pick up a few things for yourself.

Life Instyle

There's only five weeks to go until Melbourne's Life Instyle Market and my first trade show. I won't lie, I'm getting nervous. The usual string of panic has started running through my head; will I be ready, have I done enough, will they like me, do I have any clue what I'm doing at all. I'm also crazy excited. This is such a big step for me and Hearsay and I'm really happy and confidant in our new collection.

Here's a sneak peak of what we'll have on show this August at Life Instyle.

Along the Laneway

As it turns out my real 100th post is a bit of self promotion. Check it out lovers of vintage and handmade.

This Saturday is the first lane way market Hearsay aka. I have ever done. Until Friday I hadn't even heard of lane way markets and then later that night I received a very exciting email inviting me to be a part of one. The Ra Ra Bazaar is organised by Ra Ra Superstar, an adorable design and vintage store located in Paddington (QLD).

Ra Ra Superstar
Ra Ra Superstore can be found at 248 Given Tce Paddington QLD 4064 down a hot pink lane way, which is where you'll find the markets this Saturday as well (10am-5pm).

I, Hearsay shall be in attendance with many a little treasure for you pleasure, as will Tree Party Designs and Gone Dotti.
here's some sneak peeks of what I'll have on offer.

Also available at my Etsy and Madeit stores.

It's Just Hearsay

Today I did it, all those things I said I was going to do, I actually did them. I changed my (unofficial still need an abn) business name, it's now Hearsay in case you were wondering. I added stock to my previously empty shell etsy and madeit online stores. And, here's the biggy, I applied to the Bleeding Heart City Markets.
Even if I don't get in, I'm pretty proud of all the work I've done, and there's always next month :)

Here's some pics of my lovely new stock, I wouldn't hold it against you if you bought something. There'll be a lot more added soon as well, so don't forget to check back (again and again and again).

Yellow button earrings with surgical steel backs.

Nautical is still quite the thing, don't you think.

Who doesn't like lace? Weirdos that's who.

Hand printed doily pattern totes, all natural 100% cotton.

Florals just in time for Spring (I'm getting sick of the cold).

Navy blue snap clips with a funky orange underside.

To keep up to date with the words and pictures I'm sharing now head on over to my new website, www.sarahfallon.net.  I'm talking readingwriting and all kinds of daydreamy things.
