Symbolists

Symbol: Something used or regarded as standing for or representing something else; and emblem, token, or sign. Something which expresses, through suggestion, an idea or mood which would otherwise remain inexpressible.
Symbolism: The practise of representing things by symbols, or investing things with a symbolic meaning. A set or system of symbols. The principles and practice of symbolists in art or literature.
Symbolist: One who uses symbols or symbolism. An artist who seeks to symbolise or suggest particular ideas by the objects represented, the colours used, etc.
